I saw Chris yesterday and he is on the mend. His lungs have healed up and he is walking in the park each day and his strength is improving. We discussed the possibility of him returning to action and he is hopeful. It may be sooner rather than later. He has tried singing and it went well. 

I spoke to Chris a couple of days ago and he is progressing well. We’ll meet during the week.

The Oval Tavern, Oval Road, Croydon.

This is an additional March gig and the band line-up is: myself, Al Vincent, guitar, Bernie Pallo, Guitar, Jim Mercer, bass and Vocals and Pete Miles, Drums. The start as usual is 6pm. We’re also back there in June on the 15th.

Widespace records have promised the first “Got Blues If You Wannit” cds later this week. Chris sings on four tracks including two different takes of one of Dino Coccia’s songs. The basic line-up is Shakey Vick, Vocal and Harp, Al Vincent, guitar, Jim Mercer Bass and Vocals and Dino Coccia on drums. Other guests include Alan Glen, guitar and harp and Dave Briggs, Guitar.

Chris Youlden is now out of hospital and  undergoing therapy at home.
